Our First Star Gazing Evening

Tonight a few of us got together at Wangaratta Regional Study Centre, to practice for the the Big Community Astronomy Evening next Thursday Oct 12th @ Galen Catholic College.

It was a beautiful clear evening, and mild evening - making it a perfect night. There were plenty of "ohh and ahhs" as we moon rose and people saw at how amazing clear it was.

Then as the evening drew darker, Saturn appeared - the "oohs and Ahhs" - suddenly turned to "Wow, thats beautiful." Saturn is a beautiful sight to see.

We also got to see Jupiter and a few of it's moons.

Thanks to all who attended and special thanks to CSU Wangaratta for purchasing the telescopes for all to enjoy.
